1 - introduzione

ricamo Monna Vanna

From a gentle legend was born and flourished this point embroidery. A girl from another time, called Monna Vanna, deceived boredom and anxiety of waiting for the husband loved, went to the Crusades in distant lands, working every day a braid crochet. Tired of a job so boring and monotonous, one day the girl flung herself away from the pile of the braid already made.

Falling to the ground, the braid formed unexpectedly drawings and doodles on the floor and brought new interest in the mind the idea of an organic work and more complex. Thus was born the "work Monna Vanna" that applies on a large backdrop, often in geometric designs, long rows of side by side chain braid, stitched with hidden areas and applied in reverse.
This braid is always done in white or natural colored canvas of the same color. The work is then enriched with bunches of flowers embroidered in color and scattered or placed between the panes of braids, according to the plan. (Google trad.)

ritagliare foglietti di varie dimensioni

e su di essi far scorrere la matita

raggiunta una certa scioltezza, tutto viene cestinato

si ripete su fogli da disegno

lo sfondo viene sfumato con polvere di grafite

ecco un bel groviglio , ghirigori disegnati

ora con matite e pennarelli si interviene sul groviglio

poi si toglie il nastro adesivo

si prepara un secondo foglio

e,

sempre pensando alla leggenda ,

si fa la successiva elaborazione

infine si toglie il nastro adesivo
